Mojtaba Vahedi (born August 27, 1964, in Qom, Iran) is an Iranian journalist and political figure. Initially involved in the 1979 Iranian Revolution, he later became editor-in-chief of the reformist newspaper Aftab Yazd and served as a senior advisor to opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi. Disillusioned by the regime’s unresponsiveness to reform, Vahedi fled Iran in 2009, first to Dubai and then to London, before settling in the United States. He is now a vocal critic of the Islamic Republic and operates a YouTube channel, @mojtabavahedi43, where he shares political commentary and analysis.
