Iran International is a Persian-language news TV channel targeting Iranian audiences, broadcasting free-to-air via satellite. Launched in May 2017 in London, it relocated its headquarters to Washington, D.C. in February 2023 due to heightened threats from the Iranian government against its UK-based journalists. Available online, on radio, and through global satellite, including in Iran, the channel is owned by Volant Media UK Ltd. It is licensed in the UK to Global Media Circulating Ltd as a London-based editorial news service and managed by DMA Media Ltd, with bureaus in Paris, Istanbul, Kabul, and Washington. In 2021, Volant Media UK launched a sister channel, Afghanistan International.
